Mayor Garcetti Nominates Vahid Khorsand to Public Works Commission

Port of LA Updates: Applications for Port of Los Angeles FY 2022/23 Community Investment Grant Program
The Port of Los Angeles is accepting applications for its Community Investment Grant program, which annually distributes up to $1 million per year in funding for initiatives, programs and events benefiting the Los Angeles Harbor community. Completed applications are due Monday, May 9, 2022 by 4 p.m. here. The Port has scheduled an online Zoom workshop for interested applicants on Thursday, March 31 at 6 p.m. PST.

Metro Updates: Route Change Information
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused staff shortages in many industries throughout the past 2 years, this includes our Metro service. The following changes have been made in order to bring riders a predictable and reliable service. Most bus lines will be scheduled to run on average 5-10 minutes less frequently throughout the day and evening. The busiest bus lines will still run every 5-15 minutes on weekdays. COVID-19 Update
LA City Masking Rules to Align with County Health Guidance
Businesses will now have two options; the first being to lift indoor masking requirements for both customers and workers. To be eligible, a business must verify the vaccination status or a negative test result for 100% of their customers and workers. The second option will be to verify the vaccination status or a negative test result for 100% of their customers only. These changes will align with County Health Guidance and allow restaurants to lift masking mandates. Full press release, here.
